I caught word that ISS
was passing in a moment,
so I tuned UV-PRO to 145.825MHz,
the APRS digipeater on ISS.
I heard packets from Pittsburgh, PA; Smyrna, DE, and Atlanta, GA.
I tried to ping out my location a couple times,
but it looked unheard
according to https://ariss.net/.

I overheard some tips
from Tom, KA3TKW, on the 21 repeater:
Check out the AMSAT manuals for contacting satellite repeaters,
and operate full duplex, so you can hear while transmitting.

The ISS passed at 8:55am EDT
at 49 degrees.
My vertical 1/4-wave ground plane antenna
in the tree
picked it up really well.
I copied a handful of callsigns pretty easily:

KO4PDI - FL

KC4Y - AL

K4MMD - FL

N5ACR - MD

KC4YMT - GA

KC3MM - SC

K3DMM - PA, Harrisburg

I confirmed hearing K3DMM
on the Morning Grind round table (K3IR)
a few minutes later that morning.

I tuned to the ISS Repeater on 437.8Mhz
as it went overhead (according to
gpredict
).
I couldn’t hear anything really,
but I saw a signal sweeping in and out (doppler shift)
as it would have been crossing over head.
